Ross and Bannister's handyman.He is an old man who has been working with the company for thirty years.He is a helpful,reassuring and a bit mysterious on Lucy's first day at work.he cynical about Lucy's ability due to all the previous short-lived secretaries.He admires Lucy for her courage and determination not to give in the ghost of Miss Broome.


MISS BROOME
She is a late and loyal secretary to Mr Bannister who had been forced to retire after forty-three years of service to the company.She did not have a family so she treated the office as her home and lived her life for it.She dies of depression and loneliness.She cannot bear to stay away from her office even after death.She stays on in the company as a ghost and haunts the typewriter.Finally Lucy's kindness and compassion help the ghost of Miss Broome to find peace and stop haunting the typewriter.
